The fascination of gemstones – jewellery or investment?

Even in our youth, we gained our first insights into the world of gemstone prospecting on mountain tours and trips to distant countries with our parents. Sometimes we even specifically sought out spectacular sites where the rarest crystals could be found. Our father inspired us with his enthusiasm. Later, we professionalised our knowledge and work with gemstones. The raw material could never be fine or rare enough for us. Our passion for gemstones has been with us for quite some time.

Thanks to our new shop here in Zug, we can finally live out our love for gemstones to the fullest. With our extensive in-house range, we can respond to all enquiries immediately and without complications. This sets us apart in the industry. As a result, we are much less dependent on intermediaries and can satisfy even the most exotic requests from our customers. In our studio, we create handmade, unique pieces from precious stones. Each piece of jewellery is one of a kind, crafted with passion, patience and attention to detail.

In addition to highly valuable and currently very sought-after tourmalines, our range of classic gems includes high-carat and rare specimens of sapphires, rubies, emeralds and diamonds. Alongside these treasures, we offer an extensive range of other gemstones, such as aquamarines from Brazil and Africa, natural-coloured zircons from Myanmar and spinels from Tajikistan. Knowing the origin and formation of the stones is our top priority. We can say with complete conviction that we know our products ‘from the cradle’ and only process the finest materials.

We also offer gemstones as an investment opportunity. The most important thing with this form of investment is trust. We want to give our customers this trust. Because no two stones are alike. The various criteria that make up an ‘investment’ stone are so diverse that it takes time to find the right stone. It is important to us to communicate clearly and to provide advice and support in this important decision.

In order to guarantee this expertise, we continuously observe and analyse developments in the market. Much of this is invisible and opaque. We want to change that. Before making an investment decision, interested parties can examine the original gemstones at our premises and get an idea of the investment. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

In addition to this investment gemstone division, as mentioned above, we also have gemstones that we use in our extensive jewellery collections. These stones are no less valuable, they are simply not intended for value retention or investment purposes. Here, we make a conscious distinction and provide individual advice according to the desired purpose.

The current discussion among experts shows that the topic is of great concern to the trade and that ‘investment’ stones represent a trend that must be taken seriously. At the same time, such exclusive stones are not mass-produced and are only intended for very special investments.
